About Us
Sapan Organization for Agriculture Extension and Development (SOAED), officially registered on the 31/12/2013 is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), a Non-Profit and a independent citizen-based group. We encourage and help to develop the agriculture sector in the Kurdistan and Northern Iraq regions through developing these regions based on scientific research and new technologies . We have our main office based in Erbil inside of Iraq.
Our main Objectives
1. Work to develop the agricultural sector in order to maintain better food security.
2. Work to enhance agricultural knowledge of farmers.
3. Work to give farmers opportunities to participate in the development of the agricultural sector.
4. Work to increase productive people into the sector.
5. Work on providing job opportunities for those who are looking for work and the unemployed.
6. Work on encouraging individuals, whom have graduated from agricultural institutes to establish Agri-businesses
Further Duties
1. Opening training courses in order to provide better knowledge to farmers.
2. Holding scientific agricultural conferences.
3. to build strong international and national relationships in order to improve the quality and competitiveness of the agriculture sector in the Kurdistan and northern Iraq regions.
4. to have quality collaborations with international NGOs to improve the agriculture sector as a whole.
What we do
The Sapan Organization follows these roles in helping the Agriculture sector:
1. Helping Project's preparation.
2. helping Project's application.
3. Addressing every aspect needed for the project.
4. Estimating price for every aspect needed.
5. Dealing with providing area and its requirements.
6. Establishing greenhouses.
7. Carefully Mentioning greenhouses' requirements.
8. Selecting well-suited seeds for the project.
9. Supervising agronomists who manage greenhouses.
10. Providing beneficial agricultural practice and project suggestions to the local people.

11. Advising farmers on optimal irrigation for farmland, to decrease water usage and costs for farmers
